RETIRED POLICE CAPTAIN SHOT BY LOOTER OUTSIDE NORTH ST. LOUIS PAWN

We strongly condemn the coward assassination of #StLouisPolice captain #DavidDorn by opportunist criminals posing as protesters, last week, as he was safeguarding a pawn shop. We deplore any crime-apology narrative that justifies murder, looting and theft as part of a #StruggleAgainstRacism.

Only a wicked mentality views the destruction of lives, properties and livelihood as a means to overcome #StructuralRacism; quite the contrary, this senseless violence accomplishes nothing but strengthening the historical and vicious stereotypes against #BlackPeople, setting us back for decades and potentially depriving us from what we have already achieved in terms of the public perception. #ASSASINS #LOOTERS and #THIEVES DO NOT REPRESENT US.
